Prince Edward Island Express Entry Stream

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nomination Program (PEI PNP) doesn’t require a job offer from a designated PEI employer. The applicant can present an Expression of Interest without this requirement. We will discuss the eligibility and requirements further. Candidates are only selected for provincial nominations if their skill-set and work experience meet the PEI’s labor eligibility and requirements. Once the candidates are nominated it will significantly increase the possibility of further receiving an invitation and apply for Canada permanent residency through the Express Entry Stream.

Express Entry Requirement for Prince Edward Island Provincial Nomination Program

In order to apply for Prince Edward Island Provincial Nomination Program, the candidate should have a legit Express Entry profile. The candidate should be registered in the Federal Express Entry Pool. Candidates who want to submit a profile to the pool should be eligible for at least one of the three below mentioned Federal economic programs:

Federal Skilled Worker: This economic program minimum requires a diploma from a high school, one year of full-time skilled work experience. The National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Level 0, A, or B employment is deemed as skilled work experience. Candidates should provide or demonstrate the French and English level proficiency with level 7 of the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB).

Canadian Experience Class: It doesn’t require any minimum education. But the CEC candidates should have a full-time Canadian skilled work experience of a year. The required work experience doesn’t need to be continuous, but it should three years prior to application. The National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Level 0, A, or B employment is deemed as skilled work experience. Candidates should provide or demonstrate the French and English level proficiency with level 7 of the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) and a level 5 CLB test for work experience at a NOC Skill Level B occupation.

Federal Skilled Trades: This economic program doesn’t require any minimum education. But 2 years of full-time skilled trade occupation work experience in a skilled trade occupation is mandatory for FST candidates. Candidates should have an employment offer letter from a skilled occupation or a skilled trade qualification certificate issued by the Canadian authority. Candidates should provide or demonstrate the French and English speaking and listening proficiency with level 5 and reading and writing level of CLB 4.

Job Offer Requirement

As we have already discussed that The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nomination Program (PEI PNP) doesn’t require a job offer from a designated PEI employer. However, the applicants already working and living in PEI will be their first priority. The applicant will be ranked differently according to PEI Express Entry Ranking System with a valid o=job offer.

Application Procedure and Process Time for the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nomination Program (PEI PNP)

The PEI PNP operates on a system of Expression of Interest (EOI). If candidates meet the eligibility requirements, they can submit their profile to PEI’S pool. Here the candidates will be ranked differently according to PEI Express Entry Ranking System. The selected highest-ranking candidates can further submit their complete application to the category’s periodic draws stream. An Express Entry Profile is mandatory, the Express Entry Profile of PEI PNP, pool, and ranking system is all different from the Express Entry profile, ranking system, and pool.

The candidate should have an IRCC account as the selected applicant will have to accept the provincial nomination on that account. Once the provincial nomination is accepted by the candidate, 600 points will be increased in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. This will be considered as a virtual guarantee an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian Permanent Residency via the upcoming Express Entry Draw system.

Once the ITA is received, the applicant should now start preparing for the official application for Canadian permanent residency and submit it within the given time period. The application submitted via Express Entry for permanent residence usually takes about six months to process.
