The province of New Brunswick is responsible for operating a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The purpose of this stream is to find foreign workers who are high-skilled and will provide their assistant to the New Brunswick economy. Active Express Entry Profile
New Brunswick Express Entry Labour Market Stream is also associated with the federal Express Entry immigration system. If a candidate wants to be eligible an active Express Entry profile is necessary. Keep in mind that the active Express Entry Profile should be under the program of Federal Skilled Worker (FSW).
Language Proficiency
All candidates should provide proof of language proficiency in French or English with a test result of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7.
Level of Education
Candidates should have a diploma from a high school diploma from Canada or an equivalent.
Work Experience
Candidates should have a minimum of one year of full-time work experience in occupations which are identified as National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Level 0, A, or B.
Age Requirement
Candidates should between 22 and 25 years old on the day of submitting the application.
Selection Factors
Minimum 67 points are mandatory on the stream’s selection factors.
Expression of Interest
Before submitting an Expression of Interest to the stream the candidate should be eligible. There are other requirements to submit an Expression of Interest, they are different from the eligibility requirements of the New Brunswick Express Entry Labour Market Stream. They keep on updating from time to time. The program was closed temporarily to new EOIs from October 1st, 2018. Interested candidates will have to wait a while for the program as the applicants with work experience and employment offer in New Brunswick are prioritized. The French language proficiency, experience in a demand occupation, and a close friend or relatives living in New Brunswick are also necessary.
Settlement Funds
There is a number of settlement funds that are determined by immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The candidate can fulfill this requirement by providing a statement of their own finances or a valid employment offer in New Brunswick.
Application Procedure for the New Brunswick Express Entry Labour Market Stream
The New Brunswick Express Entry Stream is operating on a system of Expression of Interest (EOI). Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements should first submit their profile to the federal Express Entry pool and then an EOI to the NBPNP via email.
The NBPNP often pauses the process of accepting new EOIs. They will publish a notice of accepting new EOIs. The newly received EOIs are reviewed by the NBPNP and get an invitation to submit an application for provincial nomination.
The province of New Brunswick often selects and invites candidates from the Federal Express Entry pool. These are the candidates who didn’t submit an Expression of Interest to the program, they are only selected because of their eligibility for the stream. Their skills and labor are needed for New Brunswick. A Letter of Interest (LOI) will be sent to the candidate’s Express Entry account who are selected through the pool by the province.

There is a deal line of 60 days to submit a complete application for provincial nomination after receiving the invitation. There is a fee of $250 CAD per applicant. The successfully selected applicants will have 30 days to accept their nomination from New Brunswick.
Once the provincial nomination is accepted, 600 points will be increased in the applicant’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. This virtually guarantees an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency in the upcoming Express Entry draw.
