Saudi Arabia has announced a new rule for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims who received Sputnik V vaccine. According to the new regulations, all those who have received two doses of Sputnik V Vaccine, will be allowed to perform Hajj and Umrah, news published by TASS.
This will be applicable to visitors with short term visitor visas. The new policy is going to be implemented from o1 January 2022.
Previously, Saudi Arabi has allowed entry of those vaccinated with Sinovac and Sinopharm vaccines from first December. To facilitate more visitors, Sputnik vaccine has also been approved.
It is mandatory for traveler to register at Muqeem platform and show a proof of two doses of vaccine at the time of boarding. Furthermore, PCR test and 48 hours quarantine will be mandatory upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.
