Kuwait Family Visa Open:
We have good news to share with foreigners who wish to live in Kuwait with family. In June 2023, the government of Kuwait announced that the Kuwait family visa was reopened for foreigners after a months-long suspension. They can now apply and live in beautiful Kuwait City — though the rules have since changed (see the 2026 update below). The reason for disclosing such news is that Kuwait is now allowing this service after several months. Due to some reason, they stopped issuing family visas but now people can be reunited with their loved ones in the country.
2026 update: The family visa is no longer open to everyone. Since January 28, 2024, only the spouse and children (under 18) of expatriates earning at least KD 800 per month are eligible; parents and siblings are not eligible. The university-degree requirement was lifted in July 2024 for spouses and children under 14.
