Latest Pakistan News: After the elections of 25th July, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf has appeared as the largest party in the National Assembly of Pakistan. Despite being a single largest party in national, PTI still doesn’t have enough number of seat to make its own government according to the finalized results announced by the Pakistan Election Commission. Whereas the leaders of PTI are claiming that they are not in need of support of any other party to form PTI’s government.
The Pakistan Peoples Party PPP and The Pakistan Muslim league Nawaz PML-N are two major parties after PTI in currently held elections. The leaders or PPP and PML-N want to make a joint strategy to put PTI in problems in parliament. Leaders of both parties will soon meet in next few days for this purpose. Khursheed Shad from PPP and Shahbaz Sharif from PML-N are going to meet in Islamabad today.
The electronic media for the duration of the whole day on Saturday continued specifying names of conceivable possibility for key government workplaces and conceivable individuals from the elected bureau. Yet, sources in the PTI revealed that no names were talked about in gatherings held in Banigala as the gathering was as yet occupied in making estimations.
Shafqat Mehmood of PTI said that it was general purpose discussion meeting. Furthermore, the names of Prime minister and chief minister were not under discussion in this meeting in Banigala. He said his name is not selected for speaker of National Assembly.
PTI won 115 general seats, PML-N got 64 seats and PPP obtained 43 seats in National assembly according to the final results issued by ECP. The leaders of PTI who won more than one seat, they have to leave extra seats because according to the law one candidate can keep only one seat. So, Imran Khan, Chairman of PTI have to leave 4 seats because he won 5 seats.
Previous interior minister Choudhary Nisar Ali Khan was defeated by Ghulam Sarwar Khan of Taxila. Ghulam Sarwar Khan won two seats, so he will vacate one seat.
Another candidate the former chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak won both seats. 1 in national assembly and second in provincial assembly. He has to leave one seat whether in National assembly or provincial assembly. In either case, PTI lose one more seat. It means number of seats of PTI will be lessened to 109.
PTI leaders currently have decided to talk to other small parties and independents who won some seats to join with PTI in formation of government. Jahangir Tareen is very active in this case. He had already contacted with independents and MQM-P which got 6 seats. There 13 other independents who got seats in national assembly.
PTI is expected to obtain support of three PML-Q members and from Balochistan Awami Party BAP with four seats.
If the PTI obtains support of the GDA, MQM-P, PML-Q and the Awami Muslim League, the number of its seats will become 122 — still 15 short of the required numbers, which is more than the independents who have won the elections.
Other parties which will have representation in the NA are the Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) with three members, and Jamhoori Watan Party, Awami National Party and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaniyat with one seat each.
The sources said contact had been established between the PPP and the PML-N and the leaders of the two sides were expected to hold a meeting in a few days.
