Visitors and tourists have one month to leave UAE or change their visa status, Khaleej Times reported. Recently, UAE government has cancelled previously given automatic extension (31 december 2020) in all types of visa and emirates id. The spokesperson of UAE immigration, Brigd Khamis al Kaabi told on Abu Dhabi TV that visitors and tourist whose visas expired from first march are included in the new visa policy.
Visitors and tourist have one month to leave the country without to avoid fine or they can change their visa into other typea of visa like work visa or other residency visa. 1-month grace period starts from 12 July till 12 august. Overstay fine will be charged after grace period.
Visitors and tourists whose visas expired before march, they can avail previously launched amnesty scheme and leave UAE without fine before 18 august 2020.
Leaving UAE is not a complicated process. All you have to have a confirmed one way flight ticket and passport. Reach airport at least 6 hours before flight time and report to airport immigration. Immigration staff appointed at airport will complete the necessary process right there and You will be allowed to leave UAE without any fine or penalty.
