It is just like an e visa. You have to apply online at website of VFs Global for pre-authorization.  You will get it within 72 hours. You may choose “Express eVOA service” if you want to get pre-authorization within 24 hours. After getting approval through VFS Global, you can take flight to Thailand. You will be given a visa on arrival from designated counter at any of Thailand International airport. Online pre-authorization system is started to convenience of travelers so that they don’t have to wait in long que to obtain visa on arrival at Thailand airport. When you apply online with VFS Global, all your information with visa application is forwarded to Immigration Bureau of Thailand. Pre-authorization is issued by Thai Immigration that’s why when you reach Thailand airport you do not need to fill visa application form because they already have your data obtained through VFS Global online system. So, you will get visa very fast without filling any visa application form but you have to keep print of Pre-Authorization with you. Travelers can take flight with any airlines.

Step 1 Apply Thailand Visa On Arrival for Indians Online:

Under new system Indians have to apply for Pre-Authorization in order get Thailand Visa On arrival. It is just like Hong Kong visa on arrival where you apply online first and then get visa on arrival at Hong Kong airport afterwards.

You can apply for pre-authorization through VFS Global Website. Once you open the home simple follow the steps given below:

  • Choose Your Country “India” under Tab “I am a resident of”.

If you don’t have VFS Global account, simply click on “Register” and create a free account by using your email address. Once you have created free account, you can now sign in to start Thailand Visa application.

Click “Apply Now” to start Visa application. Now you can fill your online Thai visa application form. The form is quite easy. You have provide following information:

  • Your personal information like Your name, Date of birth, nationality.
  • Your passport information.

Thailand Visa Fees for Indians:

Please Note: Immigration Bureau of Thailand has Temporarily suspended visa fee for visa on arrival. So currently there is no visa fees for Thailand visa on arrival. However, VFS Global will charge some service fee as given below:

Regular service fees for Thailand visa for Indians is 600 THB which is approximately 1400 in Indian Currency.

Pre-authorization will be issued within 72 hours under regular service.

Please note: e visa on arrival can be applied only 30 days in advance from intended date of travel to Thailand.

Thailand visa application status online:

You can track your Thailand visa application through VFS Global Online Portal. All you have to click on “Track Application” and Enter your passport number and date of birth. Click “I am not a robot” and then Click “Submit”.

Online system will show the current status of your Thailand visa application.

Step 2 Thailand Visa On Arrival at Thai Airports:

Final approval for Thai Visa on arrival will be given at Thailand International airports. Indian passport holders with pre-authorization from vfs global should visit designated visa on arrival counter for final visa approval and Visa on arrival.

By showing passport and pre-authorization, Thailand visa on arrival will be given to Indian Citizens. No visa fee will be charged at airport.
