Russia’s state Duma has passed a bill to grant visa free entry to fan id holders. Visitors holding fan id will be eligible to enjoy visa free travel to Russia along with their family until the end of year 2018.
Formerly, Russia gave visa free access to football lovers who were holding a fan id. Last match of FIFA world cup played in Moscow on July 15 2018. After that, President of Russia Vladimir Putin announced visa free entry for fan id holders. A bill on visa free travel was presented by political leaders of Duma’s factions and head Vyacheslav Volodin for approval.
It was only innovation of Russia to allow entry with a Fan id. It was tested first in FIFA 2017 and it was successful. It has been again tested in FIFA 2018. It is admired by all tourist across the world. It is no doubt, a great innovation of Russia. The only thing was needed for Fan id is a ticket of match and passport.
Russian leaders say that more than 80% of visitors want to visit Russia again. They want to bring their families to Russia to enjoy the beauty and get familiar with Russian culture. Russia expect growth in tourism industry and hospitality by allowing visa free to tourist.
As bill of visa free entry to Russia with a Fan id has been passed by Lower house(Duma) on July 26, so travelers will be allowed visa free access to Russia until the end of this year 2018. And Fan id holder can also travel with their families without visa.
