The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCCA) has strictly advised all resources to stop the use of the PassTrack app and implement the new decision ASAP. Previously, the Pass Track was introduced on May 5, 2021, as a health safety measure to face the Corona epidemic situation. It was used to keep a health record of passengers on all incoming flights from abroad. It was mandatory to add all the health information in the Pass Track app before you could travel abroad. Since then the Pass Track required for Pakistan in 2023 is not necessary anymore.
The Civil Aviation Authority’s recent report shows that the Corona situation is now under control and the use of the Pass Track app has been stopped as it’s no longer needed. However, as per instructions of the concerned health department authorities, the health data entry system of the Pass Track app can be re-enforced anytime on passengers if circumstances change.
Only the passengers coming to Pakistan over 12 years of age were given instructions for the registration on the Pass Track app while disabled persons were given relief and exempted from the Pass Track. The Civil Aviation also advised exempting diplomats from PassTrack and the passengers who couldn’t use smartphones were checked in by agents before boarding their flight. Source: Urdu News
