The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has said that they are determined to start the ‘Individual Hajj Visa Service’ soon for those wishing to perform Hajj from abroad. According to the shared news source Akhbar 24, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said in a report that Hajj and Umrah permits will be offered to visit Riaz Al-Jinnah and Medina.

The ministry stated that the Saudi Visa Bio App is introduced for the registration of the “biosignature”. The features of the application include the face, fingers, eye, and self-photocopying of the passport. Anyone traveling to the Kingdom under the Umrah visa program will be provided a facility to register fingerprints online using Saudi Visa Bio App.

This facility will be only available to the citizens of several countries including the United Kingdom, Tunisia, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Kuwait. Most of all anyone can access the app on a smartphone which is developed under the supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi minister said that they are further working on issuing a complete insurance scheme for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims coming to the Kingdom on an Individual Hajj Visa. Under this service, treatment will be provided in case of any health emergencies. The required facilities will be provided to the people affected by the virus (Covid-19).

They will also address any arising issues regarding flight cancellations or delays. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that in the future, all the Visa formalities from arrival to departure will be done online. There will be online processing to fulfill all requirements including hotel booking, transport, and much more.
