Thailand Visa for Indians: Visa Exemption, Requirements and Application Process (2026 Update)

Thailand Visa Exemption for Indians means citizens of India do not need to apply for a Thailand visa in advance for short tourist trips. Indian ordinary passport holders can enter Thailand without a visa for tourism stays of up to 30 days, as per the 2026 revision of Thailand’s visa schemes.

The Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi has announced that with the 2026 revision of Thailand’s visa exemption and visa-on-arrival schemes, the 30-day visa exemption scheme for Indian passport holders entering Thailand for tourism purposes officially takes effect on 15 September 2026. Work is not allowed under the visa exemption; a work permit is required to work legally in Thailand.
