The government of Saudi Arabia is going to refund fees paid for work visas. The ministry of Human resource and social development will start a new machanism with co-operation of minsitry of foreign affairs of Saudi Arabia in this regard.

Many expatriates got work visa stamped on their passport, but they are not able to travel due to flight suspension. Because of this situation, the Saudi Government has decided to refund work visa fees which is already paid.
As reported by Saudi gazzet, The saudi government will refund work visa fees after cancelling work visa of those who got work visa and not able to travel to Saudi Arabia. This decision is especially related to private sectors companies’ work visa holders.
The cancellation and refunding of the stamped visas will be considered effective from the date of issuance of the royal decree on March 18.
All work visa holders which are currently abroad should contact their company in this regard. Further details have not revealed yet.
