The UAE authorities said, Pakistan have to designate or set up a laboratory for testing of passengers before departure. Currently, PCR test is not mandatory for Pakistanis traveling abroad but UAE government wants Pakistanis to have PCR test in a designated Lab of Pakistan before departure. The government of Pakistan has already responded to this issue, Dr. Moeed Yousaf told media, from now passengers have to have PCR test in Pakistan before leaving for abroad. There will be proper screening system for outbound passengers same as inbound passengers at Pakistani airport. We hope the issue will be resolved within a few days.
Passenger flight service for repatriation of Pakistani citizens stranded abroad will not be affected by this decision.
As UAE flights from Pakistan to UAE and onward destination via UAE have been suspended, so passengers who have already purchased flight ticket, should contact to Airline or their travel agent for flight/ticket reschedule.
