In 2022, Pakistan OEC announced manpower recruitment for the Japan work visa. Previously, a MOU was signed between the officials of Pakistan and Japan regarding the export of Pakistani skilled manpower to Japan.
In 2022, the Overseas Employment Corporation of Pakistan opened admissions for a Japanese Language Training Course.
Application Process of Japan Work Visa in Pakistan:
At the time, Pakistan OEC had for many years been recruiting Pakistanis for the South Korean work visa. It was expected that the same hiring model would be adopted for the Japan work visa.
Under that 2022 announcement, all candidates had to learn Japanese and pass the test, after which there might have been a skill test to qualify for the visa.
Application for Japanese Language Training Course:
Under that 2022 announcement, Pakistan OEC was conducting Japanese Language Training courses, which candidates could initially join free of cost. The Japanese course was mandatory for the work visa and was the first step towards working in Japan.

Eligibility Criteria for Japanese Language Training Course:
According to the details published by OEC Pakistan at the time, candidates had to meet the following criteria:
- Age limit 18-39
- minimum middle pass education or more.
- Must have a government recognized diploma in one profession.
- Have minimum one year of experience in the relevant field.
