Australia Immigration News – – Under Australian Government Immigration Plan, Australian Work Visas will be granted on fast track in order to send more and more workers to regional areas of Australia Like Northern Territory & Coast of Victoria. It as actually a part of DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreement) which was signed between Australian Federal government and Two Regional Governments for five years. This agreement was renewed with an aim to meet the labor shortage in regional areas. As a part of this plan, Federal Government Announced the Issuance of Work Visas will be done on fast track for these regional areas of Northern Territory but immigrants will not be allowed to relocate in other part of Australia. They have to live in these regional areas until they get permanent residency. Under DAMA immigration stream the permanent residency can be obtain after 3 years after renewal of DAMA agreement.

According to new announcement, immigrants may lose their status or face the cancellation of their visas if they try to relocate in other part of Australia. To meet the labor shortage, Australian Government has already announced funding of 19.4 million dollars. Under DAMA agreement, 117 occupations have been added to hire foreign workers. Relaxation in english language will also be given only for these regional areas. it means applicant with low bands score in IELTS are also eligible to apply for this work Visa. Requirement of education and Skills is also relaxed for applicants who want to work in Regional Areas of Australia.
However, foreign workers will not be allowed to move to other part of Australia. They have to get other type of visa if they want to relocate in other part of Australia and furthermore the process of obtaining other type of visa will not be done friendly, mostly probably they won’t be able to get new visa and also no chances of permanent residency as well.
These announcements have been made by Australian Immigration Minister David Coleman.
