Generally, a receipt number of 13 characters unique identifier which is always unique for each application or petition that USCIS receives. It can be found on notice of action. It is always a combination of three characters like EAC, WAC, LIN, SRC, NBC, MSC and 10 digits. You should keep this number safe because you need to use it any time you want to follow up your application. Your receipt number may have some “-” or “*” symbols. You can include “*” to track your application but you have to omit dashes.
