On Sunday, The national committee of crises and disasters management of UAE announced a new entry requirement for UAE residents stranded abroad. All residents who wish to enter UAE must have a negative report of covid-19 PCR test before departure. All residents have to have PCR test in their home country maximum 72 hours before departure of their flight to UAE. Without a negative test report, no one will be allowed to board the plane.

UAE government has published a list of designated laboratories in 17 countries across the world. UAE residents living in these countries have to have a PCR test from these accredited laboratories. This list of countries can be obtained from smartservices.ica.gov.ae. Foreigners coming from these 17 countries must obtain a pcr test report before their departure to UAE. Entry to UAE won’t be allowed without a negative test report.
There is an exemption for residents who are coming from a country where no laboratory is accredited by UAE government, they can have PCR test upon arrival at UAE airport. PCR test is not mandatory for this category.
