Quebec Skilled Worker Program

The Quebec Skilled Worker Program is for skilled workers who want permanent residency in Canada and live in Quebec province. Quebec has officially signed a special agreement on immigration with Canada. Some rules are set by the province and they are followed when it comes to selecting immigrants who will adjust in their community. The Quebec Skilled Worker Program Depends on two following stages:

Applicant should apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate (Certificat de sélection du Québec) by Government of Quebec.

To immigrate to Canada as a Quebec-selected skilled worker, you must apply in the following 2 stages:

  • You will be properly assessed by the Quebec province by their own rules and regulations.
  • The certificate is proof that the Province of Quebec has acquired you as an immigrant.

Once you are select by the Province of Quebec, you will get CSQ. You can further apply to Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSW).

Eligibility and Requirements for Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSW)

If you have a Quebec Selection Certificate (Certificat de sélection du Québec), you can apply for Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSW). All the QSW candidates should assure that they meet the minimum QSW points assessment grid score. If you have the required QSW points, you can submit an application for Expression of Interest (EOI) via the Arrima online portal. The selected candidates will further get a chance to submit a complete application for a certificate de sélection du Québec (CSQ – Québec selection certificate)

How to Apply for Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSW)

Once you are selected by the Quebec Province the applying process is divided into 3 main steps:

  • Getting the application ready
  • Application fees
  • Submission of Application

Getting the application ready

At this stage, you need to hire a guide or you can do the paperwork yourself if have all the knowledge. A guide can help you a lot with the necessary paperwork and filling them with correct information. You need to fill out the forms, print, and sign them. Make sure you have entered all the required information carefully and correctly. Never lie about such information.

Application Fees

Fees are included in such programs for processing the application, Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF), Bio-metrics verification fees, or even third-party fees if needed. You can pay these fees via the online portal. These fees will make sure that there are no delays in processing your application. They will have your information and record to maintain with biometrics. You may need to pay parties and it depends on the situation such as medical exams, police certificates, educational assessment purposes, and an instruction guide. Assure that you have given all the required information and you are not missing anything. If you miss out on any information they will not process your application, it will be sent back. You will have to correct it and resubmit it again.
